Job Description

Accountability: Achievement of Contracted Sales Target
• Be accountable for end to end sales fulfillment
• Selectively acquire potentially profitable customers by converting qualified leads into a sale.
• Address customer needs by providing appropriate banking advice and guidance
• Extend customer relationships to relevant parties to address customer needs (for eg. Financial solution’s, migrating
• customer to new segment, referring customer to internet/telephone banking, increase credit facility, servicing etc)
• Achieve contracted sales targets according to sub-segment objectives
• Act as a single point of reference to appropriately channel the customer
• Selectively acquire potentially profitable customers by converting qualified leads into a sale.
• Proactively retain, cross-sell and expand utilization of products and services by converting qualified leads into sales

Accountability: Effective Team Membership and Self-development
• Ensure punctuality and availability to clients at all times.
• Create an environment enabling tellers to satisfy clients’ needs.
• Promote the use of electronic medium (ATMs, Internet Banking).
• Identify cross-selling opportunities + leads and refer to sales consultants.
• Ensure all tellers have sufficient cash and stationary at all times.
• Ensure timely authorization of teller transactions.
• Manage and control effective ATM replenishment and balancing.
• Maintain a neat and tidy workstation-practice, a clear desk policy.
• Portray a professional image.

Accountability: People Management
• Supervise a team of teller to ensure effective daily operations
• Coach and mentor team members on a daily basis on how to improve their own productivity and use of the bank’s processes and systems
• Establish and maintain a succession plan for the team
• Monitor overtime and ensure that it is kept to a minimum. Report excessive overtime to the Human Resources Business Partner and create plans to address the issues

Accountability: Customer Satisfaction
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional customer service by adhering to the Service Standards
• Accurately determine Customer needs through interaction with the client
• Log all complaints and complements on Customer Care Process (CCP) system as per policy and procedure

Accountability: Operational efficiency and Compliance
• Ensure compliance to NBC’s policies and procedures
• Sign off and adhere to the applicable sales and service standards

Accountability: Managing career and personal development
• Manage own career and personal development by ensuring product increase knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business, Commerce and Management Studies, Commercial mindset – Junior (Meets some of the requirements and would need further development), Customer Excellence – Service Delivery (Meets all of the requirements), Digital familiarity (Meets all of the requirements), Effective communication – Basic (Meets all of the requirements), Experience in a similar environment, Openness to change (Meets some of the requirements and would need further development), Product and/or Service Knowledge (Meets all of the requirements), Sales Management (Meets some of the requirements and would need further development)
